Post Press Specialties installs a Kluge ApexFoil™ Foil Stamper

Press release from the issuing company

St. Croix Falls, WI - Post Press Specialties and Kluge (Brandtjen & Kluge) teamed up to make history with the installment of Kluge's NEWmachine - the ApexFoil. In1994 Post Press Specialties opened its doors and has had the pleasure of helping their customers finish strong. As one of the largest and most capable bindery and finishing companies in the Midwest with over 100 pieces of automated printing finishing equipment, Post Press has added the ApexFoil to their list of equipment.

The ApexFoil is an evolution of the Kluge EHD/EHF Series of Presses and is designed to significantly reduce set-up and make-ready time and expand the capability of the press, and the substrates that can be processed. "Kluge's last a long time." said Andy Humble, President/Owner Post Press Specialties. "This machine replaces a 1971 Kluge machine. The ApexFoil reduces our make-readies, runs faster, improves efficiencies and quality of work being produced."

The key properties of foil stamping are simple to identify: Time, Temperature and Tonnage. Operators can use the ApexFoil's Compass™ control system that includes patented features to control the "3-T's" Time, Temperature and Tonnage. Compass allows operators to greatly reduce and in some cases, eliminate make-ready on every job. "We were driven to develop the ApexFoil in response to customer feedback and a clear understanding of their evolving business needs." said Michael Aumann, CEO of Kluge, "The functionality of this innovative new product will allow for better efficiency and more output in an ever-changing workflow environment driven by digital print technology."

Kluge is excited to introduce this machine to the print finishing market. The ApexFoil offers major necessary innovations in application range, make-ready and efficiency.
