Top Spanish printer strives for perfect finishing
Perfect finishing is highly valued in today’s fiercely competitive printing market. So it’s no surprise that Litografía A. Romero, S.L., one of the top 10 printers in Spain, has left no stone unturned to achieve this.
Founded in the Canary Islands in 1880, Litografia A. Romero is the oldest printing company registered in Spain. It prints a wide range of products, including tobacco packaging, food packaging, labels, agricultural wrapping papers, paper reels, promotional brochures, tourism magazines, books and leaflets.
Although the company has a long history in printing, it doesn’t hesitate to combine modernity and tradition – often to great effect.
“We try to count on the most advanced printing technologies and the best-prepared and qualified human resources,” says Mr. Manuel Hermoso Varela, the company’s General Manager.
With innovation and reliability as its hallmarks, Litografia A. Romero always strive for total customer satisfaction. To meet the demanding requirements of its customers -- such as short lead times, consistent print quality and perfect finishing effects -- the company decided to invest in a ROLAND 705 LTTLV EVOLUTION press. This will replace Litografia A. Romero’s durable ROLAND 605 press The company also has a ROLAND 206 six colour which has been running smoothly in its printing plant for many years.
“What we really want is to increase finishing performance, production capacity, flexibility, print quality, and at the same time decrease production cost, the make-ready time and the lead time,” Mr. Hermoso Varela says. “We are so excited that we have found the best solution.”
The new ROLAND 705 LTTLV EVOLUTION comes with a 24-month ProServ 360º Performance Program. This ensures stable and consistent quality (from the first sheet to the last), super finishing on the printing with multi options (thanks to the two varnish units). In addition, the ProServ 360º Performance Program provides Litografia A. Romero with comprehensive maintenance and technical assistance. The ergonomic design of the ROLAND 705 LTTLV EVOLUTION makes it user-friendly as well as low in waste and energy consumption. With all these attributes combined, cost savings can be made.
Mr Antonio Yubero, Managing Director of Manroland Ibérica Sistemas, S.L. thanked Litografía A. Romero for the company’s support and trust over the years.
“Our goal is to provide our customers with consistent quality, rapid response to their demands, competitive prices and excellent service,” Mr. Yubero says. “We strive to be the best technology and innovation leader in the packaging printing industry in Spain.”
