Press release from the issuing company

WASHINGTON – The Paperboard Packaging Alliance (PPA) today announced the 2018 Student DesignChallenge scenario:

Design packaging for the contents of a subscription box package that enhances the customer experience and can be reused for storage.

A subscription box is a recurring delivery of niche consumer products that many e-retail companies are providing to a wide range of customers. Currently, 23 percent of online shoppers sign up for a subscription box service, with the average subscriber receiving four monthly boxes.

The PPA Student Design Challenge is open to undergraduate packaging, industrial and graphic design collegiate students in North America. Additional information about 2018 Student Design Challenge criteria, submission instructions and requirements, and participation forms are available at http://www.paperboardpackaging.org/university-features/2018-sdc.

Winning student teams and their academic programs will receive monetary awards. Participants’ submissions are due Friday, May 25, 2018.
