MCA NetPub, Inc. expands into inkjet with Ricoh InfoPrint 5000

Press release from the issuing company

Digital printing company chooses Ricoh's inkjet experts and capabilities to compete for more business

CHICAGO (PRINT 17, Booth 2022), – Ricoh USA, Inc. today announced that MCA NetPub, Inc. has selected Ricoh's market-leading inkjet solutions to help grow its business. NetPub, a book and manual manufacturing facility servicing the corporate, manufacturing, and publishing industries throughout North America, has implemented Ricoh's InfoPrint 5000 to transition more of its business from offset to digital and monochrome to color. These changes are helping meet growing customer demand for vibrant color inserts in books, and opening up additional transactional and direct mail opportunities for the company.

"In today's fiercely competitive market, you need to use every tool available to stay ahead and transform to meet customer demand," said William Grogg, President, NetPub. "It had become clear that we were limiting ourselves without inkjet, in a way we simply could no longer afford. We knew we needed to grow, and Ricoh collaborated with us to help make that happen. The Ricoh team did what they do best and found the right solution, within the right timeframe, to meet our needs."

Ricoh's InfoPrint 5000 GP platform provided the speed and throughput NetPub needed to maintain its tight turn times for on-demand jobs even as volume grows and jobs become more complex. Its impressive image quality and volume capabilities allowed NetPub to migrate more work from its offset presses, streamlining automating workflows and variable data applications.

"Inkjet technology has made tremendous strides in recent years, and printers like NetPub are taking notice," said John Fulena, Vice President, Commercial & Industrial Printing Business Group, Ricoh USA, Inc. "Our inkjet experts are pioneers in bringing this digital technology to market – and we continue to invest in its growth. It's a fantastic time to be shaping the future of inkjet, and we're fortunate to have partners like NetPub who are taking the step forward with us. Each new customer represents an opportunity to learn more about innovations and capabilities with inkjet and helps us push the industry further."
