Stora Enso North America: Magazine Papers Executive to Retire

HELSINKI, Finland, May 7 -- Stora Enso announced last week that Ronald Swanson, Senior Vice President, Magazine Papers, has announced his retirement from Stora Enso North America. Product areas Swanson oversees include lightweight coated, medium-weight coated, supercalendered and newsprint grades. He also serves as deputy to the Division's president and is a member of the Stora Enso Management Group. "Ron is a valued member of Stora Enso North America's management team," noted Kai Korhonen, President Stora Enso North America. "He provided critical guidance during Consolidated's merger with Stora Enso helping ensure a successful transition. His insight and excellent customer relations skills will be greatly missed". A search for Swanson's successor is in progress. Stora Enso is an integrated forest products company producing magazine papers, newsprint, fine papers, packaging boards and wood products, areas in which the Group is a global market leader. Stora Enso's sales total EUR 13.5 billion and annual paper and board production capacity about 15 million tonnes. Some 43,000 persons are employed in more than 40 countries and the Company's shares are listed in Helsinki, New York and Stockholm.
