American Forest & Paper Association Releases April 2017 Containerboard Report

WASHINGTON - The American Forest & Paper Association released its April 2017 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report on May 16, including audited data for 2016 and 2017 based on the results of AF&PA's 57th Annual Capacity Survey issued May 2017.
Containerboard production was 4.8 percent higher compared to April 2016. The month-over-month average daily production compared to March 2017 was 2.7 percent higher. The containerboard operating rate for April increased from 96.7 percent to 97.1 percent, which was 1.9 percent higher compared to April of last year.
