Press release from the issuing company

KIRKLAND, Wash., April 29 -- ImageX (R), Inc., the leading provider of online solutions for distributing, managing and producing sales and marketing materials, today announced it has received two patents from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office covering its digital file conversion technologies within an automated print system. These patents cover the technology that allows ImageX.com to process print-ready files without human intervention, which virtually eliminates errors in the print production process. Specifically, the technology covered includes PDF to PostScript conversion of graphic image files (U.S. 6,362,895) and PostScript to bitmap conversion of graphic image files (U.S. 6,353,483) within an automated printing system. "These two patents illustrate the uniqueness of our technology and our production process," said Rich Begert, president and CEO. "They are at the core of our patent portfolio, and with three remaining Notices of Allowance and 47 print-related patents pending, we expect to start monetizing our patent portfolio."
