Danish commercial printer, Lasertryk, has chosen Taopix software for its photo commerce division

Press release from the issuing company

Newcastle upon Tyne, United Kingdom - The Aarhus-based business is replacing an existing platform that has been in operation since 2012.

Lasertryk first opened for business in 2000 and, through organic growth and acquisition, has become the largest print service provider in Scandinavia with over 300 employees. The company operates a range of digital and litho printing equipment across its main plant and satellite locations.

The company predominantly operates in the B2B space but has built a successful photo retail business that sells directly to the consumer.

Anders Grønborg, Lasertryk’s CEO, says “We’ve experienced steady growth in the photo market since our launch and realise it’s now time to take the next steps. We plan to target new customers and give our existing, loyal customers a new, enjoyable way to order their photo products.”

“We met Taopix at drupa last year and were impressed with the platform, especially the mobile user journeys. We want to give our customers every opportunity to place orders, wherever they are and using whatever device they prefer. We’re particularly looking forward to launching the new Taopix 3D Designer as it will really help us to sell more gift products such as t-shirts and souvenirs. We’re also planning to add more new formats to our existing range of photobook, calendars and wall art.”

The Lasertryk sale was concluded by Stockholm-based VBS AB, the Taopix distributor for Scandinavia.

VBS Managing Director, Anders Eriksson, adds “We’re delighted to welcome such a prestigious, established company as Lasertryk as a Taopix customer. Its unique offering of high-quality products, competitive pricing and exceptional customer service has obviously been a major factor in its success to date and we’re looking forward to working with the team to help grow the business even more.”
