Effectiveness of their DigiPrime® 4453 digital press primer will be shown on live applications with Xeikon presses

Lier, Belgium – Michelman returns for another edition of the Xeikon Café Packaging Innovations 2017, set for 28 to 31 March to showcase their flagship DigiPrime® 4453 digital press primer in a hands-on platform. The patented solution for superior print fidelity will be a highlight of live in-mould labelling applications for food containers and wraparound labels for soft drink labels.

The well-known innovator of digital printing press primers, Michelman will feature its DigiPrime® 4453 brand primer, especially formulated for use on Xeikon digital presses, during the 4-day Xeikon Café event. The water-based primer provides excellent ink adhesion to most IML films, improves rub resistance, and is Xeikon-approved for use with Xeikon dry toners (QA-I toner, ICE toner and Cheetah toner) which respectively run on the Xeikon 3000 Series and Xeikon CX3. DigiPrime® 4453 is particularly effective in difficult applications such as in-mould label printing and is suitable for food contact. Food safety in packaging is an important aspect that Xeikon Café visitors will learn about and see in viable solutions during the event and conference.

Water-based, environment-friendly primer

DigiPrime® 4453 is a versatile solution commonly used as a primer for digitally printed labels and flexible packaging, and can also be used in conventional offset and UV printing applications. It facilitates the production of premium-quality output on a digital press.

With excellent adhesion to most papers and films, DigiPrime® 4453 is a 100% aqueous product, providing a safer option for operators and the environment and does not yellow or lose its print receptivity over time.

The DigiPrime® 4453 will be featured in live, total solution food and beverage applications in combination with Xeikon presses during the Xeikon Café.
