PrintFlex Graphics Buys Gallus EM 280

Press release from the issuing company

Philadelphia PA – Gallus, Inc.’s Western USA regional manager, Frank Hasselberg, announced today that PrintFlex Graphics of St. Louis MO has purchased a new Gallus EM 280 Flexo label printing press. After an exhaustive search for the best equipment to meet the company’s growing needs, president Steve Baum and CEO Liz Pecha-Poelker committed to the Gallus press after conducting a final review of its configuration during the TLMI conference in Florida. This followed their participation in Gallus 2016 Innovation Days in September and visits to European customers running similar products and processes as theirs.

According to Liz Pecha-Poelker, “We have been very successful over 20 years with our traditional flexo presses, but we felt it was important to make a technology leap to handle current projects more efficiently, reduce our material waste, and give us the flexibility to run more complex jobs in the future. We are convinced that the Gallus EM 280 will do just that.”

A nationally certified woman-owned business and recipient of numerous INC 5000 honors for fastest growing private companies, PrintFlex specializes in multi-web peel-off coupons, re-sealable labels, instant on-pack and inline folded booklets for a wide range of consumer packaged goods companies all over the country.

Added Steve Baum, “We met with different press manufacturers and discussed the product lines they offered, and decided that the Gallus EM 280 was the best engineered solution for the product we manufacture.”

The new Gallus EM 280 will be equipped with 14 print stations, 3 die stations, 2 lamination stations, and register control. Delivery is scheduled for Q1 2017.
