Baker Goodchild invests in new cost-effective, competitive printer

Press release from the issuing company

Birmingham-based direct mail fulfilment and print management services provider, Baker Goodchild has invested in a new M1 Colour Inkjet Envelope printer, adding further to its equipment plant list, whilst increasing the company’s competitive edge in the direct mailing and marketing sector.

The new M1 Colour Inkjet Envelope printer is ideal for high quality, cost-effective printing, and will specifically allow Baker Goodchild to dramatically improve the direct mail and marketing literature that it produces for customers. The M1 can also print across a wider variety of paper stocks as it does not use heat to print and is perfect for items that need overprinting.

The M1 envelope printer offers exceptional colour print quality at high speed and low cost, making it ideal to use for personalised mailings and variable data printing. It is capable of printing full process colour applications at the rate of 7,500 envelopes per hour. Additionally, envelopes can be printed edge-to edge on a range of paper stocks from 0.1mm to 0.5mm thick, whilst also having the ability to print on to window envelopes.

The M1 makes Baker Goodchild even more competitive in the current market, providing the company with additional printing capabilities, allowing them to print full colour onto envelopes should the customer require this particular service.

This latest equipment investment by Baker Goodchild follows the purchase of a new Buhrs mailing machine and camera matching system in April this year.

Commenting on the new M1 envelope printer investment, Baker Goodchild Managing Director, Lorraine Burnell, stated, “With the purchase of the M1, we not only add further to our capabilities and plant equipment, but also this will provide additional enhancements to our services and capabilities, and offer a cost-effective improved facility option for our customers.”

Baker Goodchild currently provides print, fulfilment and postage services for a variety of national and international clients, mailing both across the UK and overseas.

Being an independent specialist provider of bulk mail fulfilment and postal services, Baker Goodchild has invested in specialist bespoke mailing solutions and software, which enable them to be at the forefront of using new technologies within print for direct mail marketing campaigns.

Based in the heart of Birmingham, close to the city centre, Baker Goodchild is a privately-owned company with over 21 years extensive experience in providing print, mail and postage solutions, throughout the UK and Internationally.
