Best practices, growth strategies discussed by print professionals in Boulder, Colorado, during a week of revealing seminars and interactive sessions
MALVERN, PA – Ricoh today announced that its Interact User Community Event successfully returned to Boulder, Colorado, this summer, immersing print professionals in discussions of production print technology breakthroughs, best practices and trends. Interact’s value is rooted in its underlying belief that the best way to deliver successful solutions is to incorporate feedback from those involved in the daily processes of making them work.
The 2016 event provided attendees with networking opportunities, product education sessions and other informative conversations that dove more deeply into today’s best practices and provided insights into future industry growth. From next-level streamlining and automation of workflows to improving PDF document processing and discussing new inkjet technologies, Interact’s agenda covered production print’s hottest topics.
Interact brought together operations personnel and system administrators to collect product roadmap input and discuss how Ricoh can continue to enhance its portfolio to more effectively help customers grow their businesses, now and in the future. As technology continues to drive change in today’s production print environment, the collective success of tomorrowwill depend on anticipating such advances. To best address this need, engineers were directly involved in discussions such as software’s integral role in production print workflows, the need to better understand the evolving requirements in paper to produce optimum print quality and drying characteristics with inkjet technology, and best practices for implementations. Specifically, product education sessions focused on the RICOH Pro VC60000, Ricoh’s InfoPrint 5000 and RICOH ProcessDirector.
Feedback was overwhelmingly positive from 2016’s attendees, who ranged from production print representatives for Fortune 500 organizations to those responsible for the printing operations of family-run businesses. Highlights include:
“At the Interact User Community Event, we strive to bring together a knowledgeable group of people who represent a cross-section of the print industry,” said John Fulena, Vice President, Production Printing Business Group, Ricoh USA, Inc. “An event like this allows people from different segments who might not normally interact to share ideas, which can lead to the kind of cross-functional understanding that makes industry-changing innovation possible. Each year, it’s exciting to see new, great ideas form and be shared in this type of forum. It’s a privilege to facilitate an event that fosters such ideation, and we look forward to future gatherings.”
