Copresco Installs New Bindery and Color Quality Control Equipment

Press release from the issuing company

Copresco has expanded bindery operations and added to its digital color quality control system.

“It takes more than just our fleet of six digital presses to consistently meet Copresco’s promise of overnight delivery,” says Copresco president Steve Johnson. “So once again we’ve invested in both our front and back ends.”

“The color quality management process uses specialized software to control image quality in applications where objective color accuracy is a must,” Johnson explained.

CMYK test images are scanned automatically on the new X-Rite iO Scanning Table. The procedure creates color profiles that ensure the accuracy and consistent consistency of clients’ digital color projects.

Meanwhile, a Plockmatic BK5012 booklet maker gives Copresco increased production capacity for saddle bound books, calendars and publications.

“Saddle binding provides clients with a fast, cost-effective way to bind booklets, brochures and small catalogs. It is a good choice for very thin booklets with as few as eight pages (two signatures).”

Copresco produces millions of pages of short-run publications, books and manuals. Projects range from booklets, catalogs, handbooks, textbooks and technical materials to training aids, guidebooks, newsletters, calendars and cookbooks.
