In February 2016 Gietz AG signed a sales and marketing agreement with NEW MEC s.r.l., headquartered in Italy, for responsibility of worldwide sales and service commencing on May 1, 2016 for the OEM Products Secur 20 and Secur 50. Those machines are well known in the government and security printing industries for continuous stripe application using a rotary process with central drum technology. Example finished products include tax stamps, tickets, certificates, checks and others. This new machine series is a perfect addition to the Gietz line of machines for the high-security industry.

Gietz demonstrated the Secur 20 at Drupa 2016. The demonstration included transferring eight hologram continuous stripes of 0.20 inch (5 mm)-wide unregistered, metallized foils, made by Kurz, on a watermark security cotton paper. NEW MEC s.r.l. exhibited in the Gietz booth at Drupa. Mr. Nicola Lasalvia, sales manager of NEW MEC s.r.l., was available in the booth with his staff to answer questions.
