CSL Digital supports Roland DG drive for Max 3 ink conversions

Press release from the issuing company

CSL Digital, a leading supplier of Roland DG digital printing and cutting technologies in the UK, is actively supporting Roland DG (UK) Ltd in its latest drive to assist owners of Roland printers to convert their machines to use the latest generation of genuine Roland eco-solvent ink – ECO-SOL Max 3.

Initially launched in September 2015, ECO-SOL Max 3 inks are currently available in 220ml and new 500ml cartridges.  The new inks deliver greater print coverage, faster drying times and represent a significant ink performance upgrade for owners of Roland printers and printer cutters.  ECO-SOL MAX 3 inks have also received GREENGUARD Gold Certification, which adheres to the latest EU Health & Safety regulations

As a Roland DG Authorised Dealer and technical partner, CSL Digital has been working closely with Roland DG on a number of ink conversion projects over the past few years, including the Roland Partner Solutions project to utilise new UV Light ink technology with existing Roland printers and printer/cutters.  This unique technical experience has placed CSL Digital in an ideal position to provide Roland owners with the practical technical assistance required to make the conversion to ECO-SOL Max 3 inks a problem free process and, as such, keep any potential production downtime to the absolute minimum.

Nick Wintle, Managing Director, CSL Digital:
"As part of the conversion process to ECO-SOL Max 3, Roland DG supplies a free conversion kit that includes firmware and VersaWorks updates.   For those customers who have expressed caution about the Max 3 ink conversion procedure we've adopted a very 'hands on' approach to the switchover, offering free CSL engineer support to every Roland printer owner wishing to convert to the new Roland inks."

CSL is also extending its offer of assistance to Roland printer owners that currently use alternative inks but now want to take advantage of the immediate and longer term benefits offered by the new ECO-SOL Max 3 inks.

Nick Wintle continues:
"In addition to bigger cartridges, better coverage and faster drying times, the new Max 3 inks also provide a way back to professional technical support and breakdown cover for alternative ink users.  When we go out to help these customers switch over to Max 3 inks, we often carry out a pre-maintenance inspection so the printer can be covered by a RolandCare extended warranty plan."

Wintle concludes:
"The peace of mind of knowing that such a vital asset of the business is once again protected in the event of a production limiting technical problem or expensive component failure has significantly influenced the decision of alternative ink users to convert over to Max 3 inks."
Support for ECO-SOL MAX 3 inks is now available for all current models of Roland eco-solvent printers and printer/cutters and most of its legacy devices too.  Roland has made over 5000 media profiles available on the Roland Profile Center website, (www.rolandprofilecenter.com).  CSL Digital is also in a position to offer Roland printer owners specialist assistance with media profiling during the ECO-SOL Max 3 ink conversion process.
