Eric Aulton brings his engineering, sales and customer service skills to entire region
SPARKS, Maryland - SUN Automation Group®, a leading global provider of innovative equipment to the corrugated industry, is pleased to announce the promotion of Eric Aulton from the Eastern Region Sales Manager to North America Sales Manager. Aulton, who will report directly to Greg Jones, Director of Sales and Marketing, will be responsible for overseeing the entire domestic sales department.
“Eric has been a great asset to customers in the Eastern Region, and now will take this value to customers throughout the North America market,” said Jones. “His background, attention to detail and focus on providing customer-centric solutions, make him an asset to us as well as the boxmakers he serves,” says Jones.
Aulton joined SUN in 1988 and spent 25 years in Engineering. His industry expertise and intimate knowledge of SUN solutions proved to be a winning combination in helping him diagnose and resolve customer issues. In 2013, he took those skills even further by accepting the position of Northeast Regional Sales Manager before later taking on more responsibility as the Eastern Region Sales Manager.
“Combining my engineering skills with sales just made sense,” says Aulton. “It provided me the opportunity not only to expand my experiences but more importantly to better service our customers. I am able to quickly identify their challenges from an engineering perspective and then match it with a physical solution SUN can actually provide them- It’s a win-win.”
Since taking the position, Aulton has already been hard at work. Among his first duties was to assist in managing the recently announced partnership Asahi Machinery, Ltd. As part of the agreement, SUN will market Asahi’s platen die cutters and provide parts and service for existing machinery, further developing its solutions portfolio and growing the Asahi brand in North and South America.
