D.P.R. Labeling Announces the Release of a New Digital Die Cutter for Sheet Labels

Press release from the issuing company

Sunrise, Florida - D.P.R. Labeling LLC, announces the release of Gemini, a digital die cutter for sheet labels. This innovative desktop-style cutter is capable of handling various types of material with different thicknesses, and sheet sizes such as A4, A3, Letter, Tabloid and Tabloid Extra format. Being capable of cutting any shape and size, the Gemini is the ideal die-cutting solution for the print and packaging industry.

Pressure sensitive stickers, decals, and labels, can be cut with precision using camera-equipped technology. Heavy cutting may also be performed, as the Gemini is able to cut postcard material ranging from 7.05 to 12.35 ounces (200 to 350 gr), for applications such as business cards, tags, small boxes and packaging.

Speed varies depending on the complexity of the outline, and on average runs 30-40 seconds when cutting pressure sensitive materials, while for through-cutting the speed depends on thickness. The software manages files in both Adobe Illustrator and CorelDraw format.

“The versatility of this product is unmatched. The fact that it can be used in unison with any desktop printer gives it a very broad usage base. The second detail is that it can cut so many items based on the thickness of the material. The limitations of this product are ones imagination and we look forward to doing demonstrations of its capabilities very soon,” says Luca Bortolon, Sales at D.P.R. Labeling LLC.

The Gemini will be introduced at booth #6614 at the upcoming Label Expo Americas in Chicago this September. Units will be available for sale in August.
