Luxury is at the Heart of London’s Leading Packaging Event

Press release from the issuing company

Luxury Packaging London 2016, the UK’s only event for the luxury and packaging market, returns to London’s Olympia on 14 & 15 September 2016. The show, co-located with Packaging Innovations, brings together over 170 exhibitors and a dedicated audience of senior buyers, from a range of global industries, all looking to source the latest in luxury packaging solutions.

An array of UK and international exhibitors have already signed up for the show, including Favini, BillerudKorsnäs, Jung Design, Etiq'Etains, Fleet Luxury and HH Deluxe Packaging. These will join a host of first time exhibitors such as Think Tank, Sampling Innovations Europe, Forwarded Pack Industrial, Futamura and Les Perfumables.

Innovative products, design and functionality are at the heart of the show, with many suppliers using the event to launch new products and services. For instance, Richmond Containers will be launching its range of metal shell closure caps, and off the shelf gloss and matt lids for the beauty and skincare market. These new caps and lids complement its existing luxury range of dispensers, which include airless bottles and pipette droppers.

James Cropper, supplier of the paper for Luxury Packaging 2016’s invitations, will present its first ever food contact-approved stock range of paper. The uncoated paper range, which is available in 12 eye-catching colours, is in response to growing demand for luxury papers within the food industry. The British master papermaker will also demonstrate its tailor-made capabilities and expertise in colour matching live on its stand.

Italian company, Favini will be bringing its full ranges of luxury paper, including its new award winning range of eco-friendly paper, Crush. It has a distinctive flecked texture and appearance, made using the process residues from organic products, such as fruits and nuts, to replace up to 15 per cent of the virgin tree pulp.

Another Italian company, Gruppo Cordenons will be debuting its high quality graphic paper, AstroKing, to the UK market – with a luxurious matt finish, imparting an impression of opulence due to its special shimmering lustre.

According to Rawlings – Black is the New Amber – with its new type of glass bottle, Black Glass. The colour comes from the glass, not a coating. Its high gloss finish not only increases shelf presence, but its UV light protection acts as a taste protector, extending the life of the bottle’s contents.

If it is personalised packaging you are after, head to the JUNG Design stand. It will be showcasing its latest personalised gift wrapping and tissue paper, which will give customer’s products a classy and luxury look.

Winter & Company UK will be using the show to reveal the relationships between the colours and textures of its covering materials product range by presenting three new palettes forecasted for 2017. The forecasted trends will be transformed into tactile packaging designs and visitors will have the opportunity to take away their favourite trend.

Antalis will be showcasing its Creative Papers range of fashion led colours, metallics and translucents, modern textures and unusual finishes, which have been developed to help find the ultimate creative solution for all types of luxury packaging.

The 2016 show, which is co-located with Packaging Innovations London, has more content of offer than ever before, with a brand new free-to-attend conference, run in partnership with The Dieline, dedicated to the package design industry. The Great Innovation Debate, Starpack Awards and The Innovation Wall will also be returning, plus the show will feature an array of free-to-attend Learnshops.
