Press release from the issuing company

Print and visual communications specialist Callprint recently played host to a group of global visitors from ReproMAX, who came over to the UK for a two-day site visit and conference to the company’s production hub at Saffron Hill in London.

The global group of attendees had flown in from the recent Drupa print exhibition in Dusseldorf, and comprised of representatives from the following global print companies; Beeline and Blue – Des Moines, Indox – Saint Louis, CyberCopy – Los Angeles, Electrogeloz – Paris, HONBLUE – Hawaii, Rileys – Calgary, SBR – Salt Lake City, Thomas Printworks – Dallas and ReproMAX – Saint Louis Missouri.

ReproMAX, of which Callprint is a partner company, is a network of independent digital print service providers (PSPs), designed to provide, information, technology and a community where PSPs can use the skills and advice of other like-minded companies to help grow their business. The partner companies in ReproMAX have access to the knowledge and capabilities of other partner companies across the globe.

Having enjoyed some light refreshments, the visitors were welcomed by Callprint’s Group Managing Director Steve Cheek, before they were split into two groups for a tour of the London production facility. They were joined by fellow Director Steve Cheek and Commercial Director, Paul D’Rozario, who together showed the respective parties around the site. During the site tour the visitors were provided with information on how the Callprint operation works, seeing some of the new equipment in action, how it utilises its nationwide and global network of hubs, whilst also viewing demonstrations of live jobs that were in production.

Impressive key statistics on Callprint’s walls showed the visitors that on average some 1,165 jobs are processed through the Clerkenwell hub per month alone, helped by its team of 27 staff. Callprint has 1,100 active clients, and achieved 25% growth in 2015/16, with some 413 new accounts opened in 2015/16. Turnover for the group was £16m in 2015/16, with the company employing 220 personnel across the globe.

Whilst on the site visit, Matt Heim of HONBLUE, commented, “This facility is so impressive, and it’s an outstanding office, amazing!”

Matt Dalton of SBR was equally impressed with what he had seen on the tour, stating, “I will certainly be taking a few ideas back with me from what I have learned today.”

Rick Bosworth of ReproMAX, who has visited the Callprint offices on several occasions, added, “I am always impressed by their use of space, and how they utilise the compactness of this production site to their advantage.”

Following the site visit, the group enjoyed Callprint’s hospitality further at Pont de La Tour restaurant in the evening, before the one day conference the next day.

Commenting on success of the ReproMAX group visit and conference, Callprint Group Managing Director, Steve Cheek, stated, “It was a pleasure to play host to such a knowledgeable and well respected group of business owners. We get so much from our visits to the USA that it was nice for us to finally return the compliment and offer them something back as well.”
