Com-Pak Presort Services Announces Installation of 5th Commingling Sorter

Press release from the issuing company

Becomes One of the Largest Comminglers on East Coast

Moorestown, NJ - Com-Pak Presort Services, a leader in commingling mail operations, today announced the installation of its fifth commingling sorter, making the company one of the largest standard class comminglers on the East Coast.

Experiencing over 20-percent annual growth, Com-Pak continues to invest in equipment to meet the growing demand for commingling as direct marketers seek new ways to lower postage costs.  The company now has the ability to commingle over 850 million pieces of mail annually.

Commingling of mail eliminates sorting done by the United States Postal Service, giving customers a lower postage cost. This automated process allows customers to benefit from each other’s volume, creating large pools of five digit mail that are entered into the USPS Sectional Center Facilities (SCF’s). The company enters over 90 percent of its mail into the SCF’s, expediting the delivery of mail to final home addresses. Com-Pak now provides commingling services to letter shops, printers, major corporations, fundraisers, and advertising agencies from Connecticut to Virginia.

“Our commingling service helps our customers lower their postage cost and speed delivery of the mail to the recipient, two things our customers tell us are very important,” explained Dave Loudon, general manager of Com-Pak Presort Services. “We work closely with each customer to help them understand the benefits of commingling and make the process seamless.”

“We have a great team here at Com-Pak Presort Services, using the best equipment and LEAN business practices to serve our customers,” added Clif McDougall, CEO of Com-Pak Presort Services.

Com-Pak Presort Services helped pioneer a process called single pass, and is one of the few who can take a multiple CAPS directly into its commingling pools, something large mailers increasingly demand.
