Nordplakat Purchases First HP Scitex 9000 in Germany at drupa 2016

Press release from the issuing company

At drupa 2016, Nordplakat, a family-owned, large-format printing shop, purchased the first HP Scitex 9000 Industrial Press in Germany, adding to its existing three HP Scitex TJ8350 Industrial Presses. The HP Scitex 9000 Industrial Press will enable the company to pursue new applications in indoor signage and displays and expand production of point-of-sale prints. The press will be delivered to Nordplakat's Emden, Germany location immediately following the conclusion of the show.

Nordplakat, an all-digital shop, has grown its outdoor application business tremendously in the past 15 years and is now expanding into indoor applications to add value for its existing customers and attract new customers.  With the HP Scitex 9000 Industrial Press, the 25-person team is gaining industrial-grade productivity with an entry-level investment. Nordplakat will be able to reclaim revenues, bringing outsourced jobs back in house, and print a range of applications, including advertising banners and promotional displays. Additionally, new HP HDR245 Scitex Inks offer cost-effective production on flexible as well as rigid and select plastic medias, providing the company higher-quality prints at faster speeds.

"With HP, I can confidently take the next step in growing my business by offering new applications with the HP Scitex 9000 Industrial Press," said Christoph Friesecke, CEO and owner, Nordplakat. "It is an exciting time to boost productivity and increase capacity, and we trust HP's experience and expertise to help us provide our customers the highest quality signs and displays."
