Mountain Lakes, New Jersey – Graphic Arts Advisors, LLC (GAA) is pleased to announce the merger of Action Print of West Des Moines, Iowa with Universal Printing, also of Des Moines. GAA served as the exclusive advisor to Action Print on the transaction.

Action Print is a second generation family-owned business with over 40 years in the printing industry. The merger will allow Universal Printing to provide Action Print clients additional services, while maintaining the same quality they have come to expect. Virtually the entire Action Print staff is transitioning to Universal Printing and will continue to develop the personal relationships they have formed over the years.

“Bringing not just the equipment, but also the people was a high priority for us during this process,” according to Universal owner George Springer. “Being a family-owned company has a special meaning, and knowing that Action Print’s employees and clients understand that – will make this transition all that much easier.”

Universal Printing is a third generation family-owned company currently celebrating its 50th year in business. The company’s services include: Digital Printing, Offset Printing, Graphic Design, Direct Mail Services, Promotional Products, Signs & Displays, and Apparel - Embroidered and Silkscreened.

Carol Hansen added, “We elected to merge with Universal Printing, which has a similar culture and is very focused on customer service. The same people will provide the same great customer service. Aside from the company name and physical location - not much will change for Action Print clients. The same people will provide the same great customer service.” The combined companies will conduct business at the Universal Printing facility, located at 2828 5th Avenue in Des Moines, Iowa.
