Australasian Label Giant Invest in Next Generation Technology from manroland

Press release from the issuing company

Many famous global brand names, such as Coca Cola, Nestle, Schweppes, Kraft and Heineken, have become part of modern daily life. And they happen to be long-term customers of the Labelmakers Group Pty Ltd, which has been offering innovative, high-quality labelling solutions for nearly three decades in Australasia.

The printing giant serves various markets, especially the fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) market. Founded in 1987 with headquarters in Victoria, Labelmakers is the largest label manufacturer in Australasia. It offers a wide range of label solutions for customers including self-adhesive, cut and stack, BOPP wrap around, IML, shrink sleeves, RFID labels and Folding Cartons.

According to Mr. Paul O'Sullivan, the company’s CEO, Labelmakers Group attaches great importance to continually investing in equipment that offers their customers the very best in innovation, quality and efficiencies both in materials and the printing process.

To address this need for quality and efficiency, as part of their sheetfed capacity, the company already has two six-colour ROLAND 700's and an eight-colour ROLAND 700 with coating module perfecting press running smoothly in its plant over a long period of time. With more business coming in, Labelmakers decided to invest in the latest sheetfed offset model from Manroland Sheetfed an eight-colour ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION with coating module equipped with InlineColorPilot and InlineInspector.

This will further minimize the make-ready time and wash ups. Moreover, quality checks are in place to ensure the products meet the customers’ requirements. In addition to the built-in DirectDrive technology and its high printing speed, the ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION has InlineColorPilot and InlineInspector. These two inline systems guarantee premium print quality and colour consistency, while lowering the labour cost at the same time.

The ROLAND 700 EVOLUTION can therefore significantly reduce total production costs and maintain the stable high quality, which Labelmakers is very particular about. “A new press gives our customers and employees much confidence that we are continuing to invest in the world’s latest printing technology,’’ Mr. O’Sullivan says. “This technology needs to perform at a different level than previously required to adapt to the evolving Australasian market and consistently turn around the work in the fastest time possible.” "Labelmakers will continue to invest in equipment, facilities and its people to ensure we are able to support future growth within our business and more importantly the growth of our valued customers," he adds.
