DAX Executives, Chuck Gehman and Brad Giles Join Printable.com

SAN DIEGO---In a move that reinforces its leadership position as a provider of hosted printer-centric e-business solutions, Printable.com(SM) Wednesday announced the addition of two notable players from the graphic-arts e-business arena, Bradford (Brad) Giles, who becomes vice president, strategic development, and Charles (Chuck) Gehman, who becomes chief technology officer. Both come to Printable.com from Digital Art Exchange Inc. (DAX). Giles was president of DAX and Gehman was vice president of technology. According to Stuart Clifton, president and chief executive officer of Printable.com, both Giles and Gehman bring a unique combination of graphic-arts industry and e-business experience that complements the Printable.com printer-centric business strategy. "We are very pleased to welcome both Brad and Chuck to the Printable.com management team," said Clifton. "Throughout their careers, they've pioneered technology and played a key strategic role in the adoption of technology for the graphic-arts industry. In his role as vice president, strategic development, Giles is now responsible for building worldwide partnerships and strengthening and expanding the role of Printable.com in the print community. Giles has more than 15 years of experience in the graphic-arts industry, including management and executive-level positions with Scitex(R) Corp. He currently serves on the executive committee for the Research & Engineering Council of the Graphic Arts Industry Inc. and as co-chair of the council's Digital Network Production Systems Committee. He's a frequent speaker for the printing industry and has presented at events such as Seybold Seminars, International Prepress Association Technology (IPA) and the Printing Industries of New England (PINE). He was the co-founder and president of DAX. Gehman, chief technology officer for Printable.com, brings an equally impressive background that includes a unique mix of experience as a provider of both graphic-arts services and e-business solutions. He has written numerous articles and white papers for publications such as High Volume Printing, Publishing and Production Executive (now PrintMedia), Graphic Arts Monthly and Canadian Printer. Gehman has spoken at a number of conferences including the Technical Association of the Graphic Arts (TAGA), Seybold Seminars and Vue/Point. He was formerly vice president of technology for DAX. Prior to joining DAX, Gehman founded Irongate Networks, an e-commerce company serving the business-to-consumer space, and has held numerous technical and management positions with graphic-arts services and computing-equipment companies.
