TAGA Announces 2016 Plant Tours for Annual Technical Conference

Press release from the issuing company

Warrendale, Pennsylvania - Attendees of the 2016 TAGA Annual Technical Conference will have the opportunity to tour and learn from two leading flexo facilities in the Memphis, TN area: Cyber Graphics and Bryce Corporation.

The 2016 TAGA Annual Technical Conference will be held March 20–23, 2016. Conference attendees from around the world will come together to discuss innovations and present papers on research and development advances in the industry. The TAGA conference presentations focus on emerging technology in imaging methods, production workflow, and production systems while continuing to examine changes in press equipment, paper, ink, and consumables. Papers selected for presentation are also published in the 68th volume of the TAGA Proceedings.

Cyber Graphics
Cyber Graphics provides design, prototyping, prepress, color management, and plate media services for flexographic printing. It is the largest user of photopolymer material under one roof in North America—approximately 160,000 square inches of material imaged per shift. The behind-the-scenes tour will show attendees the photo studio for taking product shots, prototyping of packages, preparing files for platemaking, and platemaking in action.

Bryce Corporation
The Memphis plant is a leader in the production of innovative flexible packaging products for the food industry, including snacks and frozen and pet foods. There, attendees will see jobs being printed on the plant’s 60-inch-plus-wide, 10-color flexo presses. They will witness the converting process in which films are laminated together and slit into rolls for shipment. They’ll also see the finishing required for stand-up pouches and bags.
