Esko features efficient workflow at FESPA 2016

Press release from the issuing company

Ghent (Belgium) – At FESPA 2016, Esko will showcase the flexibility its modular solutions can provide as part of an end-to-end workflow. The show will be held in Amsterdam, March 8 to 11; Esko will be located on stand H20 in Hall 1.

“The pressure to complete more jobs per production shift means operations are looking for ways to maximize their capacity while keeping a close eye on profitability,” comments Armand Gougay, Esko Vice President EMEA. “There are a number of ways Esko can help them make changes to address these issues, from highly flexible and responsive hardware to ingenious, easy-to-use software. At FESPA 2016, we will be explaining these possibilities and demonstrating exactly what the tangible results can be.”

Among Esko’s solutions developed to address the every-day challenges faced by sign and display operations of all types is its Kongsberg C64 digital finishing system. The Kongsberg C64, part of the re-engineered Kongsberg C-series platform, is a state-of-the-art, super-wide digital finisher that offers the highest possible performance level. Precision and productivity are guaranteed, thanks to the carbon-composite traverse beam, which is unique to Esko. It assures excellent precision and supports high speed and fast acceleration, with high quality creasing and the powerful 3kW milling capability exclusive to Esko. Its maximum work space of 3.210 mm by 3.200 mm makes it ideally suited for modern wide format printers.

Software suite for hard results

Business performance is also supported by Esko’s ever-evolving software suite. It includes the highly flexible i-cut Production Console (iPC) which drives all functionality on Esko Kongsberg tables. Its simple-to-use interface ensures efficient, safe and high quality operation. It also delivers operator guidance and precise machine control thanks to its ingenious design and range of logical, user-friendly features.

Esko’s i-cut Suite, a collection of prepress and pre-production software solutions designed to eliminate errors, save time and reduce waste, will be demonstrated as well. There will also be demonstrations of ArtiosCAD and Studio structural design software for 3D design of displays and other structures. These dedicated tools streamline structural design, product development, virtual prototyping and manufacturing. In addition, visitors will be able to take a closer look at Esko’s Automation Engine which manages prepress workflow automation.

“While the capabilities of our hardware solutions have been expanded to meet the demand for highly flexible fast turnaround job completion, software is an essential tool in the fast, accurate and cost-effective development of creative packaging,” Gougay concludes. “At FESPA 2016, we will show visitors how integrated end-to-end production is essential to position print production operations positioned for profitable and responsive success, today and into the future.”
