Heidelberg Announces New Product Installation Report

KENNESAW, Ga. –June 21, 2004 – Heidelberg USA announces the following sample of new product installations: AmazingPress.com Adds Speedmaster 52 AmazingPress.com, located in Dallas, recently installed a Speedmaster 52 with coater and perfector to produce brochures, business cards and postcards. The Speedmaster 52 is capable of printing these and other jobs at a maximum rate of 15,000 impressions per hour. Founded in 1990, AmazingPress.com is a trade printer offering in-house printing and bindery services. The shop services a largely local client base and specializes in short to medium quantity 4-color runs. Boca Raton Printing Adds Press, Postpress Equipment Boca Raton Printing Company, Inc. has added a 2-color Printmaster QM 46-4 sheetfed press and a USA B-20 Folder. The Florida-based company is using the new equipment to produce runs of 10,000 pieces or less of materials ranging from 4-color brochures and postcards to 2-color fliers and newsletters. Boca Raton Printing is a general commercial printer serving local clients in the insurance and real estate industries as well as the Florida Chamber of Commerce. The shop has been a loyal Heidelberg customer since 1969. Colonial Printing Improves Workflow With New Prepress, Press Equipment Colonial Printing, Inc., located in Columbia, S.C., recently installed a 2-color Printmaster QM 46 and a Prosetter 74. The new equipment, used to produce brochures, envelopes and business forms, has steamlined workflow and improved product quality. Founded in 1972 by a father-son partnership, Colonial Printing is a general commercial family-owned and operated printer. Copy Right of Ohio Installs Printmaster QM 46, Quicksetter 300E Copy Right of Ohio, LLC, has installed a 2-color Printmaster QM 46 sheetfed press and a Quicksetter 300E. The new equipment is being used to produce letterheads, envelopes, brochures and newsletters. Copy Right, based in Worthington, Ohio, is a small general commercial printer that services clients across the nation, including workers compensation organizations, construction companies, and restaurants such as Church’s Chicken. Diamond Packaging Adds Second Speedmaster UV Press Diamond Packaging, headquartered in Rochester, N.Y., recently installed a new 7-color Speedmaster CD 102 UV with double coater. The press, capable of handling stiff boards and specialty papers, will be used in conjunction with Diamond’s current CD 102 to meet the growing needs of current customers for longer run lengths and to create unique new products. Diamond Packaging, with more than 90 years of printing and packaging expertise, specializes in innovative packaging solutions for customers around the world. Eastern Business Forms Cuts Makeready With New Prepress Equipment Eastern Business Forms, Inc., located in Greenville, S.C., has noticeably reduced makeready since the recent installation of a new Prosetter 52 computer to plate device and Pro 68 plate processor. Eastern Business Forms has been manufacturing business forms and related products since 1964. The small shop houses 60 employees and it services customers ranging from local businesses to international hospital systems. Florida Trade Graphics Installs New Prepress Imaging System Florida Trade Graphics, Inc., of Pompano Beach, Fla., recently installed a Heidelberg Quicksetter 300E. The new prepress equipment has increased production at the shop and improved the quality of its two-color products, including brochures, catalog sheets and envelopes. Since installation, makeready has been reduced by 75 percent. Florida Trade Graphics, a mid-size print shop with 45 employees, has been doing business for more than 18 years. It primarily services both local and out-of-state printers and print brokers. Graphics Arts Installs drupa-Edition Speedmaster CD-102 Philadelphia-based Graphics Arts, Inc. recently installed a drupa-edition Speedmaster CD-102 sheetfed press to use on a wide variety of general commercial print jobs. Graphic Arts caters primarily to local clients in the pharmaceutical industry. A privately owned and operated company that goes back three family generations, Graphic Arts has been in business for 80 years and is an all Heidelberg shop. Insty-Prints Upgrades to Speedmaster 52 Insty-Prints of Richmond, Va., recently installed a new 2-color Speedmaster 52 sheetfed press. The new system replaced a 2-color Quickmaster 46 and can be used to produce brochures and marketing materials at a maximum rate of 15,000 impressions per hour. Insty-Prints is a small general commercial printer that services both local and national customers. The locally owned and operated shop is a single-source establishment specializing in business printing services. Jones Printing Service Updates Heidelberg Equipment Jones Printing Service, Inc., of Chesapeake, Va., recently installed a Speedmaster SM 74 with perfector and a CPC-24 Image Control. The new Speedmaster replaced a 14-year-old Heidelberg MOFT press. In addition, the shop upgraded its CPC-104 to a CPC-2000. The press, used to produce brochures, newsletters and posters, is producing at a rate that is 2.5 times faster than older machines. Founded in 1975, Jones Printing Services is a family-owned and operated general commercial printer that services regional customers. The shop has been a loyal Heidelberg customer for 20 years and plans to continue to upgrade its equipment in the future. K&D Graphics Installs Prinect Printready and Topsetter Package K&D Graphics, Inc., of Orange, Calif., recently added a Prinect Printready System prepress workflow system and a high-speed, automated Topsetter PF-102 thermal plate imager. K&D is a full-service commercial and packaging printer specializing in custom packaging and displays for clients in the health food, vitamin and cosmetics industries. The family-owned and operated shop upgraded its prepress capacity in order to match the productivity of its high-volume presses. Pee Dee Printing Installs New Printmaster, Quicksetter Pee Dee Printing, Inc., located in Florence, S.C., recently installed a 2-color Printmaster QM 46 and a Quicksetter 300. The new equipment is being used to produce newsletters, envelopes, postcards and business cards on runs ranging from 500 to 50,000 pieces. Pee Dee Printing is a small shop that services both general commercial and trade customers in California, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina. Sumter Printing Increases Productivity With New Press, Platesetter Sumter Printing Company, Inc., located in Sumter, S.C., recently installed a Prosetter 74 platesetter and a 2-color Printmaster 46. The new equipment is being used on smaller runs to produce stationery, business forms, newsletters and spot-color brochures. The Printmaster is a particularly welcome addition to the shop and has increased Sumter’s productivity by 25 percent. Founded in 1917, Sumter Printing specializes in short-run process color jobs and high-end spot color printing. The Fulfillment House Installs Stitchmaster ST 100 The Fulfillment House, of Glendale, Calif., recently installed a Stitchmaster ST100 single hand feed 4-pocket stitcher. The new equipment, which also has a cover feeder and a 26” folder with continuous feeder, is being used to produce high-quality brochures at 5,000 pieces per hour. The Fulfillment House is a small finishing shop that services well-known local clients such as The Thomas Kinkade Company and Oracle Corporation.
