Vestcom International Reports High Satisfaction with Exstream Dialogue Software

Press release from the issuing company

June 14, 2004 -- Exstream Software, Inc. announced today that its Dialogue software is being used by Vestcom International, Inc. to enhance the company’s personalized communications services and provide a common platform across its production facilities throughout the U.S. and Canada. Vestcom offers end-to-end personalized communication solutions to companies mainly in the financial services, insurance, retail, travel and leisure industries. Dialogue’s high performance is making it possible for Vestcom to produce highly personalized statements, invoices, sophisticated direct marketing pieces and other vital business documents 50 percent faster than before. Vestcom also reports productivity has increased three-fold due to the software’s flexibility and ease of use. Key drivers in Vestcom’s selection of Dialogue were its user-friendly design interface which eliminates the need for complex programming, its ability to store commonly used objects—like tables, text boxes and other graphic images—for re-use across multiple document applications, and its ease of deployment across different computer platforms. Because Dialogue dynamically creates all the resources, fonts and overlays necessary to produce high quality output on the targeted device, it is now possible for one facility to finish work started in another location, which streamlines production and reduces time and resources required to meet aggressive time-to-market requirements. Additionally, Dialogue's Output Sorting and Bundling module has been integral to Vestcom’s increased productivity. The software’s ability to combine customer mailings, update address data and sort by postage weight makes it possible for Vestcom to improve speed to market, as well as substantially reduce postage expense for its customers. “With Dialogue, we can get a product to market in at least half the time it took us before—and the more complex the application is, the more this time savings is apparent,” said Joe Mislinski, CIO of Vestcom’s Marketing and Business Communications Division. “For one application alone we went from production speeds of six seconds per impression to one second using Dialogue. We output one billion impressions a year, so seconds can mean days when it comes to a large print run. Due to Dialogue’s high performance we are now able to meet very aggressive deadlines.” Going forward, Vestcom is considering full use of Dialogue’s web-based capabilities to create a sophisticated online one-to-one environment where customers can fulfill on-demand requests for everything from personalized statements to customized marketing materials. “We are pleased that Vestcom International is using Dialogue to increase efficiencies across its enterprise,” said Davis Marksbury, president and CEO of Exstream Software. “We are also very excited to see Vestcom use Dialogue to provide customers value-added services when it comes to their business documents. Dialogue addresses customer needs in a variety of ways, making it the perfect enterprise personalization solution for a company committed to customer value like Vestcom.”
