Enviro Image Solutions Advances Blanket Renewal Technology

Press release from the issuing company

Breakthrough in repairing smashed blankets

Vancouver, Canada - The blanket experts at Enviro Image Solutions (EIS) have achieved yet another technological advancement by enhancing their process to renew smashed blankets. EIS has focused on blanket smashes for several years, as yet another way to better serve printers.

“Blanket smashes are an area we focused on recently and we are happy to have made a significant breakthrough,” said Dan MacDonald, EIS Director of R&D. Remaining the international leader in blanket renewal is a top priority. Allowing blankets to be reused multiple times have long made EIS the friend of any printer looking to save money or become more environmentally friendly. And with the continued improvements to the science and service of EIS “We’re better than ever,” said MacDonald.

Since 2007 Enviro Image Solutions (EIS) has continued to evolve its unique blanket renewal technology that restores blankets to full quality. Returning a used blanket’s printability and ensuring it matches the performance of a new blanket is the core of this service. The EIS system is guaranteed to help the engaged printer reduce costs and waste, and with careful handling some blankets can be renewed upwards of 8 times. The savings from this innovative service compound with every blanket renewal, each time saving up to 50 percent of the cost of a new blanket. UV print blankets were the first focus of the EIS program due to high consumption, but MacDonald encourages printers to approach EIS even if they are conventional ink or gapless web printers. “If a printer is concerned about blanket costs, they should talk to us,” said MacDonald.

The EIS program is built around blanket experts who analyse a printer’s blanket wear, and can provide suggestions on improving efficiency and reducing waste. If a printer has never tried this service or it has been a while since they’ve worked with the EIS system, then it’s time to revisit the ever growing benefits of blanket renewal.
