Czech and Slovakian Very Smart Offset Printers meet in Radebeul

Press release from the issuing company

Sharing experience and knowledge on cutting-edge sheetfed offset

Rapida users from the Czech Republic and Slovakia met on 8 and 9 October for the annual Very Smart Offset Printers (VSOP) meeting at KBA-Sheetfed Solutions in Radebeul. This is the seventh time that the event has taken place allowing the participants to share their experience.

The goal of this event is to inform KBA sheetfed offset users about the latest products and processes enabling them to use this knowledge to optimise their processes and businesses, and thus offer customers benefits. This is in addition to the chance to share their ideas and explore the German capital of Saxony, Dresden.

After the visitors were welcomed by KBA-Sheetfed Solutions sales director Sven Strzelczyk and KBA CEE managing director Jan Korenc, a series of presentations focused on reducing makeready times, process automation and using cutting-edge measuring and control technology for optimum product quality. The visiting print experts were shown speedy changeovers to cold foil as well as high substrate flexibility on a six-colour Rapida 106 equipped with coater, ColdFoil Micro cold-foil kit and LED-UV curing. The highlight of the press demo on a half-format Rapida 75 was also LED curing which saves time and waste. This future-focused drying solution was also presented on a large-format Rapida 145 in connection with QualiTronic PDF inline sheet control and Ani-Sleeve technology at the coater. High quality double-coating applications and cold-foil production with Multi Foil Use were shown on a Rapida 105 PRO.

A tour of the assembly halls rounded off the two-day VSOP user event.
