Jack Heath Named President of Arkwright, Inc.

COVENTRY, R.I., May 24 -- Oce today announced that John R. (Jack) Heath has been appointed President of Arkwright, Inc., Oce's media development and production company. Mr. Heath has been Chief Operating Officer of Arkwright since July 2003. He replaces Joseph Marciano, Arkwright's President since 1998, who has become the President of Oce Business Services in New York City. In making the appointment, Ronald E. Daly, Chairman and CEO of Oce North America, commented, "Jack is the right person with the right skills to take Arkwright to the next level of performance. He has been an effective leader as he has risen through Arkwright and made significant contributions to the company." Mr. Heath joined Arkwright in 1996 as Vice President of Operations with responsibility for the company's four manufacturing sites and eight distribution centers. He has led the effort to bring the lean manufacturing process into the company, improving profitability. Jack is a Champion in the project management and Six Sigma processes to improve time-to-market, customer relations, and product profitability. Jack has a breadth of technical and managerial experience gathered in roles as Vice President and General Manager for American Mirrex Corporation, Vice President of operations for Coloroll, Inc., Technical Manager for Occidental Chemical Corp, Technical Manager of Wallmates Vinyls, Inc, and a Plant Manager for Romar Classics. He began his career as a High School Math and Science teacher in New Jersey.
