Allen Datagraph to launch three new digital label system products at Labelexpo Europe 2015

Unique finisher and re-designed printers focus on greater productivity, better quality and cost-effectiveness

Derry, NH (USA) – Allen Datagraph announces that it has scheduled Labelexpo Europe 2015 as the global launch of three new iTech digital label system products. At stand 9B61, Allen Datagraph will introduce the ADSI iTech CYPHER and the ADSI iTech SPECTRUM digital label printers, and the ADSI iTech AXXIS XL digital label finisher.

Allen Datagraph is known as an innovative manufacturer of digital label systems that produce fully finished labels, in any shape without dies, for a fraction of the cost of other digital presses—with low, on-going operational expenses. The company's digital label systems are used by printers, converters and brand owners to create high-quality labels, 'on demand'.

"As the market for short-run digital labels expands, Allen Datagraph, a pioneer in this market, has been very busy responding to customer requests for solutions that provide higher efficiency and improved business results, with an affordable price point," explains Michael Elliot, President, Allen Datagraph. "We are expanding our narrow web line of digital label printers to include a new high speed inkjet and an improved LED toner. We are also introducing a new digital label finisher that uses a unique vacuum system to increase both throughput and uptime. All of these technologies are designed to make converters more profitable.”

ADSI iTech AXXIS XL: Using unique technology for a faster narrow web digital label finisher

The speed of the new ADSI iTech AXXIS XL digital label printer matches that of the company's wider digital label finisher, the iTech CENTRA HS, bringing high-end performance and productivity to narrow web. The narrow format (up to 21.5cm/8.5") finisher can laminate, cut without the need for dies, strip, slit, and re-wind labels at speeds of 9.1 meters/min (30 feet/min.). It does so by using a completely unique vacuum accumulator technology. Rather than reling on gravity or mechanically assisted accumulators, the media rides along a “pillow of air”, its motion, constantly monitored by an array of LEDs and sensors. The vacuum, assisted by it’s “digital eyes” creates a smoother, faster transport mechanism. Due to fewer moving parts, the reliability has increased as well. Additional new features for narrow web are larger 14" input and output roll capabilities for longer unattended operation, and continuous cutting to provide a smoother slit before the rewind. Like all of ADSI’s digital label finishers, the iTech AXXIS XL uses SMARTMark Optical Registration technology to assure precise label reproduction, where cuts are accurately registered to the artwork.

ADSI iTech CYPHER: A 100 feet per minute inkjet digital label printer

Allen Datagraph has leveraged the successful HP PageWide inkjet technology to create its new ADSI iTech CYPHER digital label printer. With resolutions up to 1200x2400 the CYPHER will produce high quality labels using durable pigment inks for deep blacks and vivid colors—all at a low cost of ownership. The new, fast roll to roll inkjet print engine delivers speeds up to 20 inches per second, and is capable of printing on either pre-diecut or continous roll substrates.

ADSI iTech SPECTRUM: A faster toner printer capable of printing pre-cut labels

Allen Datagraph is also adding an improved LED toner engine to its product line. Based on the technology used on the company's proven AXXIS HS printer, The iTech SPECTRUM is a fast narrow web digital label printer, capable of printing up to 7.6 meters per minute (25 feet per minute), in part due to an improved, straight-through paper path. The new cutting path also lets the iTech SPECTRUM print more efficiently and helps contribute to a lower acquisition cost. High quality labels are assured at 600dpi x 1200 dpi. The printer is delivered with a Wasatch RIP with a number of additonal features, such as cost estimating, variable data capability (optional), custom color profiling and spot color replacement. The ADSI iTech SPECTRUM printer is also capable of printing on either pre-diecut or continous roll substrates,

During Labelexpo, Allen Datagraph will be taking orders for the The ADSI iTech CYPHER Digital Label Printer, ADSI iTech SPECTRUM Digital Label Printer, and the ADSI iTech AXXIS XL Digital Label finisher, for immediate delivery.
