Resounding success for Heidelberg’s Promatrix Die Cutter Debut at Graph Expo

Press release from the issuing company

Kennesaw, Ga. – The Promatrix 106 CS die cutter drew crowds at Graph Expo in Chicago. The show was a success for Heidelberg and its partner Masterwork USA with great booth traffic and many demos on the largest piece of postpress equipment at this year’s show.

The announcement of the Easymatrix 106 CS, a die cutter rated at 7,700 sheets per hour that provides a smart upgrade into 41” die cutting for commercial printers, also received great interest. It features non-stop operation in the feeder and delivery, motorized cutting pressure adjustment, convenient fine adjustments of the cutting plate and a quicklock chase for the cutting die as well as the upper stripping tool.

Add to these attractive features a very aggressive price: the Easymatrix 106 CS sourced from Heidelberg and a Masterwork sourced MK FB II 800 folder gluer are available right now as a bundle for only $484,000.

“By tapping into Masterwork’s worldwide leading manufacturing volume of over 400 die cutters/foil-stamping machines per year, our Easymatrix and Promatrix machines offer many advanced features at a great price/performance ratio”, says Joerg Daehnhardt, VP of Heidelberg Postpress. “During our due-diligence process, Masterwork impressed us very much – in particular with their manufacturing standards and commitment to R&D”.

Adds Carol Jiang, Vice President of Masterwork USA: “The reach of Heidelberg in the US and Canadian print market combined with Masterwork’s manufacturing and R&D capabilities creates a very attractive offer for printers who want to step up their postpress capabilities.”

The MK 800 FB II folding carton gluer is a great companion piece to the Easymatrix 106 CS: it achieves a belt speed of up to 1300 ft/min (on straight line folding cartons) and is equipped with a carton alignment module as well as a lockbottom module. Additional options for 4/6 corner boxes, small format cartons and other box designs are optionally available. The gluer is controlled via a touch screen with a maximum open blank width of 31.4”.
