DALLAS–(May 18, 2004)– Padgett Printing, the Southwest’s leading commercial printer in digital printing, has added two new digital presses. President and CEO David Torok, announces the company now has six digital presses, along with an integrated in-line finishing capability, “to continue our leadership in digital print technology.” he continued, “We’ve been in digital printing for over six years, and the business is growing tremendously.” The expanded Digital Print Center is headed up by Stephen Tiesman, Manager, Digital/Imaging. George Sullivan is Estimating and Mailing Manager. The Digital Print Center complements the mailing department with its two high-speed ink jet mailing lines, and an inserting line. “We can now mail up to a half-million pieces in a single day,” Torok said. Padgett added a third Digimaster to their current inventory of two. The new Digimaster 9150 is over 35% faster, “As our digital work continues to grow, we’re committed to adding the latest technology. We are bringing Padgett quality to the world of digital printing,” stated Torok. In addition to the Digimasters, Padgett has a Xerox 92C Spot Color and a 4-color Xeikon 50i, as well as a new 4-color, digital NexPress that performs like an offset press, providing high uptime for maximum productivity and delivering consistent high-quality images. Dave Torok said, “The NexPress allows us to completely customize a mailing for our customers, even print a piece to highlight individual interests, or customize names and information piece-by-piece. It’s a whole new world in reaching an audience on a one-on-one basis.” The ability to use mixed paper stock and to electronically collate enables the NexPress to easily manage complex jobs. With that combination, it's made for new, higher-value digital services: on-demand printing, short runs, quick turnarounds, completely customized invitations or brochures, and production of full-color collated pages that are ready to be finished instantaneously. “Padgett is ready to take on expanding needs from our customers with our digital capabilities.
