Lake County Press buys Wicklander assets: Expands Chicago Presence

Waukegan, IL, May 10, 2004 / Lake County Press, Inc. today announced that it has acquired certain assets of the Wicklander Printing Corporation, a premier full service sheet-fed printing company based in Chicago. Lake County Press reported $38 million in sales in 2003 and expects a significant increase in its revenues as a result of this acquisition. Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
“Since 1934, Wicklander Printing has been a strong force in the Chicago-area print industry,” Ralph Johnson, CEO and President of Lake County Press, said. “We welcome Jim Wicklander and members of his team to Lake County Press and are excited about the opportunities that they bring to the table. One immediate benefit will be a sales office located in Chicago, closer to many of our customers.”

The services of Venture 10 were utilized to coordinate and complete the transaction.
