Press release from the issuing company
Dusseldorf, Germany – Stand 5D24 — Kodak Polychrome Graphics (KPG) and Artwork Systems Group NV today announced a worldwide strategic alliance under which KPG will distribute the AWS Nexus product line in conjunction with its own technology.
Initially, Artwork Systems will incorporate Kodak Polychrome Graphics RealTimeProof online proofing solutions into its workflows. Artwork Systems’ workflows are high-end comprehensive solutions for the professional prepress environment. The software increases productivity in preproduction through automation of human-intensive front-end tasks and RIP based tasks.
“This partnership creates integrated solutions that help customers meet the growing need for faster turnaround time and high colour quality,” said Vic Stalam, Corporate Vice President, Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, KPG. “Partnering with Artwork Systems, a premier global software provider, confirms that KPG is becoming a key partner for workflow solutions in the graphic arts.”
RealTimeProof is a suite of web-based proofing solutions providing accurate image quality for remote, soft and hard proofing. Using breakthrough patented RealTimeProof streaming technology, Pixels on Demand, gigabytes of high resolution files can be viewed in seconds, even over a dial up connection. Users need only a web browser on a Mac or PC and a free, downloadable, plug-in to proof their original files from anywhere, at anytime.
“Partnering with KPG helps Artwork Systems fulfill its mission of providing the best quality solutions for our customers as independent software suppliers,” said Guido van der Schueren, Chairman of the Board, Artwork Systems.
In the near future, Artwork Systems will incorporate KPG’s proprietary colour management tools into its workflow software solutions. KPG’s colour management expertise helps customers achieve colour control and consistency across their full production workflow – site-to-site and day-to-day. This agreement creates a broader solutions offering for KPG’s distribution partners.
