TAPPI Announces 2015 Engineering Division Scholarship Winners

Atlanta, Ga. – This year’s recipients of the Engineering Division Scholarships are Emily Bohn and Kelsey Bolduc. These scholarships are presented to science and engineering students interested in pursuing an engineering career in the pulp and paper industry. The students will be honored at the 2015 PEERS (Pulping, Engineering, Environmental, Recycling, Sustainability) Conference, Oct. 25-28, in Atlanta, Ga.

Bohn attends North Carolina State University, majoring in Paper Science Engineering. She interned at Domtar Pulp Mill in Plymouth, NC, during the summer of 2014 and is currently interning at the Domtar Paper Mill in Bennettsville, SC.

Bohn is a member of the NCSU TAPPI student chapter and is involved in intramural sports. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in the pulp and paper industry as a process engineer.

Bolduc is majoring in Chemical Engineering at the University of Maine and has interned at Sappi Somerset for three consecutive years. She is a member of the University of Maine TAPPI/PIMA student chapter and participates in AlChE, women’s lacrosse and women’s ultimate frisbee.

After graduation, Bolduc plans to work as a process engineer in the U.S. paper industry.
