NexPress Collaborates With EFI on Digital Workflow and Web-to-Print Solutions

DUSSELDORF, Germany--May 10, 2004-- NexPress Solutions, Inc. is teaming with EFI, the world leader in digital imaging and print management solutions for commercial and enterprise printing, to offer additional workflow and Web-to-print capabilities to users of the NexPress 2100 digital production color press. NexPress plans to integrate technology from EFI's web submission and automated prepress workflow solutions into the NexPress solutions portfolio. "We have formed a strategic relationship with EFI that combines our digital printing expertise with EFI's core technology to develop new print management solutions," said Chris Bondy, Vice President, WW Director, Workflow Solutions & Services, NexPress Solutions, Inc. "These solutions will offer print providers greater productivity and additional flexibility to further meet the needs of the advancing digital market." The first two solutions generated from this collaboration are NexTreme Exchange and NexTreme OneFlow+ software. NexTreme Exchange software automates the fulfillment of static, short-run print jobs, making it easy for clients to log on to print-provider Web sites where they can submit files for printing, and view online job status for example, print orders online. NexTreme OneFlow+ software is an automated workflow management system designed to integrate seamlessly with the NexStation III using the JDF standard job ticketing language. NexTreme OneFlow+ integrates print-on-demand, Web-to-print and variable data printing applications in a fully automated workflow.
