Quark Software Inc. Introduces Procedure Management Solution for Global 2000

Press release from the issuing company

Smart Content Drives Compliance, Cuts Costs and Enhances Customer Experience

DENVER, CO – Quark Software Inc. has introduced Quark Procedure Management, a new knowledge management solution that enables large enterprises to streamline the creation, management and publishing of policies and procedures. With Quark Procedure Management, corporate writers and subject matter experts create reusable content that is easy to save, search and update, which is critical when content is susceptible to risk and compliance issues. Examples of policies and procedures include employee manuals, field instructions, medical responses, banking processes, call center training manuals and other standard operating procedures.

Managing policies and procedures efficiently is a challenge as the content must be updated frequently, is often regulated by government and industry organizations and requires multi-channel delivery across print, Web and mobile devices. When managed at the document level, where text and data are trapped in static form, enterprises suffer from poor workflows, lack of content reuse, insufficient metadata and the inability to publish across channels.

Quark Procedure Management moves authors from creating static documents to creating reusable content components – XML Smart Content – that can be reviewed, approved and updated independently. This enables standard operating procedures to be dynamically assembled for different channels and audiences and automatically published to Web, PDF and mobile formats.

By leveraging Smart Content through Quark Procedure Management, enterprise organizations meet business initiatives to reduce costs, improve compliance and increase customer engagement with the ability to:

  • Enable anyone to write modular, reusable content
  • Align teams around a single workflow
  • Create, approve and publish content faster
  • Rapidly publish to PDF, web and mobile devices
  • Integrate with business tools already in place

“Outdated policies and procedures can be dangerous – to a company’s bottom line and to employee and customer well-being. Finding relevant next steps when facing challenges – whether daily or suddenly – should be quick and easy,” said Gavin Drake, Vice President of Marketing for Quark. “Quark Procedure Management helps our customers get the right procedures to the right people at the right time to save time, budget and minimize risk.”
