Jetrion Introduces New 3025 DOD Inkjet Printing System

Press release from the issuing company

DÜSSELDORF, May 6, 2004 — Jetrion LLC, a leading global provider of advanced products, services and specialized solutions for industrial inkjet applications, and a separate business unit of Flint Ink, introduces its new cutting-edge Jetrion 3025 drop-on-demand (DOD) inkjet printing system. The Jetrion 3025 features breakthrough technology that delivers significantly more flexibility, higher quality and lower cost digital printing capability to the commercial printing, publishing and packaging markets. The industry's first live demonstrations of the Jetrion 3025 are being shown throughout the day during drupa 2004, at Jetrion's exhibit, Hall 3, Stand E52. "The Jetrion 3025 is our response to operational end-users who look for higher performing, more cost-effective alternatives to existing legacy systems," said Dr. Kenneth Stack, president of Jetrion. "The introduction of this remarkably advanced system in our company's first full year of operation underscores Jetrion's commitment to new technologies comprising a fusion of ink, hardware and integrated solutions to provide the most productive equipment and products in the industry." Starting at 2.4 inches (61 mm) with one printhead, and designed to incorporate multiple printheads for wider applications, the monochrome Jetrion 3025 inkjet printing system delivers 316 dpi across, and up to 526 dpi in the process direction, at speeds up to 250 fpm (77 mpm) with UV inks, and up to 400 fpm (123 mpm) with solvent inks. With this combination of features, the Jetrion 3025 offers the flexibility of speed, print resolution and ink to meet the demands of the commercial printing, publishing and packaging markets. The highly reliable Jetrion 3025 was co-developed with Graph-Tech AG of Switzerland. Incorporated into the Jetrion 3025 is Graph-Tech’s proven MIC controller with image layout capabilities, simplifying production of variable codes and marks. The Jetrion 3025 also provides the lowest running cost of available drop-on-demand marking printheads, and is especially valuable for production applications that require higher quality addressing, bar-coding, numbering and variable messaging on printed products. The Jetrion 3025 inkjet printing system offers substantially more substrate printing flexibility than continuous inkjet (CIJ) or toner printing processes. The system is ideal for applications that require the placement of durable images on high-gloss and film materials such as those used in labeling and flexible packaging. Mail houses and direct mail printers looking for higher quality addressing on uncoated papers or printing on poly-bags, coated substrates and unique materials will appreciate the look and durability of the UV and solvent inks at resolutions over 300 dpi.
