Screen to Debut Roll-to-Roll Capabilities for High-Speed Flatbed Truepress Jet W3200UV HS at FESPA 2015

Press release from the issuing company

ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill. — Screen, a manufacturer of specialist inkjet print-on-demand technology, will deliver more solutions for innovative digital print production at FESPA 2015, May 18-22 in Cologne, Germany. Visitors travelling to Cologne will see for the first time the latest high-speed Truepress Jet W3200UV HS flatbed printer operating with a new roll-to-roll system.

There is still a substantial volume of work best handled by wide-format roll-feds. For true versatility, a shop can equip the Truepress Jet W3200UV HS with the roll system to tackle a wider variety of work than can be handled with a single type of printer.

Daily print demonstrations in Stand U20/Hall 6 will highlight the superb capability and flexibility of the Truepress Jet W3200UV HS, including its ability to produce smooth tints, vivid colors and sharp 4-point text at the full machine speed of 1,615 square feet per hour. In addition, five-layer and seven-layer backlit and day/night graphics and accurate 75 lpi lenticular products will showcase the various high-value graphics that the Truepress Jet W3200UV HS can output.

The Truepress Jet W3200UV HS prints onto a wide range of rigid and flexible media up to 125.9 x 62.9 inches in size and up to a maximum thickness on 1.9 inches. The printer accommodates premium-margin jobs, such as exhibition graphics and retail signage, as well as posters, product decoration, architectural signage, backlit displays and any commercial graphic involving materials that require the support of a fixed table. It is ideal for short-run, high-impact sign and display work that would otherwise run on a screen press.

The Truepress Jet W3200UV HS features six colors (cyan, magenta, yellow, black, light cyan and light magenta) plus two white ink channels. It has 48 color heads and 16 white heads. Different print modes selected according to the requirements of the finished product suit all applications. Text as fine as 4 points normal and 6 points reversed are sharp and legible in all modes.

Workflow, color management and image file processing are controlled via leading graphic arts-focused solution providers, including Wasatch and Caldera.

The Truepress Jet W3200UV is available in both standard (914.9 square feet per hour) and high-speed (1,615 square feet per hour) versions. Users can easily upgrade from the Truepress Jet W3200UV to the Truepress Jet W3200UV HS as the needs of their business grows. The new 126-inch roll-to-roll option will provide high-quality production-class printing to roll-fed substrates and will be available as a factory-installed option or as a field upgrade in late summer 2015.
