:AgfaJet Microporous Digital Proofing Base Now Available

Düsseldorf, Germany – Drupa – 5 May 2004 – Agfa today announced the availability of :AgfaJet Microporous Digital Proofing Base (:AMDP) media for use with Agfa’s :Sherpa 24m (61 cm, 24 inch) and :Sherpa 44m (112 cm, 44 inch) pigment-based proofing systems, as well as similar Canon and Epson devices. :AMDP is a resin-coated microporous photograde base that provides contract proofing quality with fast-drying pigment inks. The durable paper is available in 170 or 240 grams per square metre, and with either glossy or satin finish. “The right proofing media is extremely important to the proofing process for colour accuracy and consistency, and for prepress production efficiency,” said Willy Van Dromme, worldwide director of marketing for digital proofing. “:AMDP gives users a higher quality paper for pigment inks, so they can quickly predict the outcome on press, satisfying even the most hard-to-please customer.” :AMDP will be demonstrated with Agfa’s :Sherpa proofing solutions at Drupa, Hall 06/D27.
