KETTERING, UK - RMC Digital Print says its new Mimaki JV300 wide-format printer from i-Sub Digital is helping its printroom to keep pace with the 'ridiculously busy' pre-Christmas period, thanks to its high production speeds and reliable quality. 

The new Mimaki JV300, installed in November, joins two Mimaki JV33 printers, previously supplied by Kettering-based wide-format print specialist i-Sub Digital. RMC Digital Print wanted to update the set-up to cope with increased business so i-Sub Digital recommended the JV300.

"It's much faster on things like banners and vinyl than our existing Mimaki JV33s but the quality is still excellent," comments Nicole Spencer, Operations Manager at RMC Digital Print. "We're very busy at the moment and being able to use the same ink across the three Mimaki machines makes jobs even easier especially with the benefit of matching colour output."

The Mimaki JV300's speeds of up to 105.9sqm/hr will also be put to good use in the New Year, when RMC Digital Print plans to run a January Sale on vinyl. The JV300 is currently working on a more glamorous project, however: printing wallpaper to be used on a TV set, made possible by print resolution of up to 1,440dpi and nine-colour options including orange, light black and white inks. RMC Digital Print has also printed wallpaper and canvases for use on other major television shows and sporting events.
