Gráfica Santa Cruz Invests in 3rd ROLAND Press

Press release from the issuing company

There’s a reason why Gráfica Santa Cruz, one of the largest packaging printers in Rio de Janeiro, has been running its business successfully for a long time.

Business planning and development, superior quality standards and high-tech printing presses have driven the growth of Gráfica Santa Cruz since it was founded 68 years ago. The family-owned business has stuck to its winning formula and consistently adapted to changes in both the technology and the market. Since 1995, it has been using ROLAND presses to deliver the various needs of its ever-growing list of satisfied customers.

Gráfica Santa Cruz recently invested in a ROLAND 507 LV – the third ROLAND press in its facility. Its intention is to further shorten the make-ready time, increase its productivity and capacity of short to medium printing runs.

Founded in 1954, Gráfica Santa Cruz is in the packaging paper and cardboard business, with customers in various industries such as food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and laboratories. Its average production is large, requiring not only excellent quality but as equally important, faster delivery. The company operates from a 4,800-square meter facility from which they do all their print jobs.

In order to meet the need for excellent quality and fast delivery, Gráfica Santa Cruz has been investing in cutting-edge printing technologies. In 1995, it began its partnership with Manroland by acquiring a ROLAND 204 T0B. It proved to be the right choice for the company, especially since it became exclu-sively a packaging printer by 1998. In 2005, Gráfica Santa Cruz installed a ROLAND 505 LV to boost printing capacity in the face of a rapidly growing business. This year, a brand new ROLAND 507 LV becomes its third ROLAND press.

“I am sure that this will be absolutely another right choice for us,” said owner Marcio de Souza Costa.

Mr. Bruno Garcia, Managing Director of Manroland Brazil, was happy to see the partnership with Gráfica Santa Cruz continue after all these years.

“We would like to thank Gráfica Santa Cruz for the deep trust and solid support to us for so many years. With strong commitment to the printing industry in Brazil, we will continue to help our customers to achieve success with our world’s leading technologies and excellent services,” Garcia mentioned.
