April 16, 2004 -- The innovative Dutch banding equipment supplier, BAND’ALL, has become the latest company to join with PrintCity for its drupa 2004 display.
BAND’ALL manufactures a wide range of manual and automatic operation banding machines for applications in the graphic arts industry, working alongside the world’s leading print finishing equipment suppliers, many of which are PrintCity members. BAND’ALL also supplies equipment to other industries such as pharmaceuticals, and has a worldwide distribution network of 30 companies.
The company’s modular machines feature a patented “band-feed through” system, which allows very thin, and therefore environmentally friendly, paper and film bands to be fed through at high speeds. This allows printed work such as books, magazines, lables and brochures to be quickly banded and sent for further dispatch.
The postpress and banding field is increasingly characterised by the banding operation being integrated within folding, die-cutting and other finishing systems, and the opportunity to work more closely with the large postpress manufacturers in PrintCity will be a major advantage for BAND’ALL, says Bram van Roosmalen, the company’s Sales Director.
He adds: “PrintCity is of great importance to us because we can communicate ourselves more widely as a company with a strong focus on quality. We strive to remain the innovative leader in the banding field, and we feel the other PrintCity companies share that status in their fields. It’s also very important to continue building our network, and come closer to these companies.”
Rainer Kuhn, Managing Director of PrintCity, welcomes the introduction of BAND’ALL as another step in the production process that PrintCity has covered with a best-in-class supplier: “The issue of banding is easily neglected, but it’s often very important in the efficient operation and delivery of a print job. PrintCity aims to show solutions to every step in the process chain, so we welcome BAND’ALL to our drupa show, and we’re confident that visitors will see some excellent new banding technology on show.”
