Sprint Installs Multiple Roll Systems On High-Speed IBM Infoprint 4100S

Press release from the issuing company

Burlington, MA (April 14, 2004) - Roll Systems pre- and post-processing systems have been installed recently at three Sprint data centers on IBM Infoprint 4100 HD3/HD4 high-speed digital printers. Sprint, the global communications provider, has installed more than twenty Roll systems combined in their Lenexa, Kansas; Rancho Cordova, California; and Apopka, Florida locations. Sprint purchased a full spectrum of Roll continuous printer solutions, including TwoUp with descending stacker, Separate/Fold and Roll-to-Fold Systems. The largest portion of Sprint's purchase consisted of Roll's new high speed Roll-to-Roll Systems and accompanying Inserter Unwinders. The Rewinder module of Roll-to-Roll features recent enhancements to allow the operator to switch between applications with virtually no adjustments, to provide more consistent rewinding tension for high quality rolls and to simplify thread-up. Roll-to-Roll permits unattended printing for hours, and Inserter Unwinders bring unwinding benefits to the mailroom, for problem-free feeding of inserters or other finishing equipment.
