Xerox Carries The Digital Printing Message To Print Buyers At Annual Print Oasis Conference

Press release from the issuing company

April 13, 2004 -- For the third consecutive year, Xerox Corporation will have a major presence at the Print Oasis Conference and Exhibition-billed as the only independent conference focusing on the needs and challenges of print buyers. The annual conference takes place from April 18-21 in Hollywood, Florida. At the event, Xerox will share the advantages of digital printing, including just-in-time production, short run lengths and variable information, with print buyers. Xerox will also demonstrate how on-demand printing saves print buying firms money and time, without sacrificing image quality. "Through influential industry events such as Print Oasis, Xerox is showing print buyers how to provide more value to their clients with digital printing technology," said Tom Wetjen, Vice President, Xerox Worldwide Graphic Communications Industry Business. "Printers are not the only group who must be well-versed in digital printing. These technologies won't deliver their total benefit until everyone along the value chain understands how they directly support corporate goals." Some events Xerox has planned for the conference include: * A presentation focused on how print buyers can benefit from the capabilities of the Xerox DocuColor iGen3 Digital Production Press and how they can engage owners of iGen3 presses to fulfill orders; * An event supporting the launch of the Xerox Premier Partners Public Portal - an online directory for print buyers looking for Xerox digital print service providers; * A panel discussion covering the state of the paper industry and the key issues designers and print buyers are tackling in a new digital "world;" and * An exhibit featuring DocuColor iGen3 Digital Production Press applications samples, Xerox Digital Paper and Specialty Media, and the Xerox Premier Partners program. More than 300 conference attendees-from corporations, publishing companies, advertising agencies, design firms, government, associations and print services providers-are expected at the Print Oasis Conference. The conference will feature more than 50 exhibitors, including technology firms, paper companies, proofing suppliers, digital printing equipment manufacturers and commercial printers.
