Aller Tryk A/S in Taastrup, Denmark, orders second LITHOMAN-press from manroland web systems
Probably every Scandinavian has handled a product from the Aller publishing group at some time, two million out of five million Danish even every week. Aller Tryk A/S is Scandinavia’s leading magazine printer. The Aller group believes in the future of print and updates its machinery with a 48-page short-grain LITHOMAN.
An almost identical LITHOMAN already produces at Aller Tryk A/S since the beginning of the year 2010. The new autoprint web offset press replaces two competitor lines and is equipped with highest automation features.
Managing Director Jesper Jungersen is convinced: „With the new press and the comprehensive automation we will be able to significantly reduce makeready times and waste rates. This is a main success factor for us to strengthen our business in the printing industry.” The LITHOMAN will be delivered in May 2015. By now it is the fifth LITHOMAN-installation of manroland web systems at Aller printing sites. Besides the Norwegian and Swedish printing plants of the Aller-Group, which have been producing on LITHOMAN presses for several years now, this is the second press for the production site in Taastrup.
Aller Holding A/S is the leading publisher of magazines and Weeklies in the Nordic region with a weekly circulation of approximately. 3.2 million copies. In Denmark, there is a weekly circulation of approximately 700,000 copies. An impressive fact: Aller Tryk in Taastrup prints fourteen out of Denmark and Swedens’s best-selling weekly magazines, popular titles that are avidly read by young and old people, men and women. The printing company belongs to Aller Holding A/S, Copenhagen, a publishing house with a history that goes back to 1873. This family-owned company provides Scandinavia with around three million weekly magazines.
