Print Owners and Ricoh Team up for Industry Benchmarking Study

Press release from the issuing company

Survey Launched This Week to Explore Secrets of Consistently Successful Printers

Melbourne, FL – The National Print Owners Association (NPOA) and Ricoh have partnered to conduct NPOA’s 2014-2015 Financial Benchmarking Survey. Launched this week, the Rico-sponsored survey results will be co-published by NPOA and QP Consulting. All respondents will receive a free copy of the results and the first 100 respondents will also receive a free "Comparative Analysis" that will compare participant performance against industry "profit leaders," "profit laggards," and "industry average."

The 100-page-plus benchmarking study will provide dozens of useful Profit & Loss Statements, Balance Sheets, and Key Ratio Reports broken down by size and type of firm and detailing the precise financial ratios needed not only to survive in 2014-15, but to become a true “profit leader.”

“This benchmarking study will offer printers insights and solid comparisons they can use to fine-tune their businesses and become profit leaders,” according to NPOA President Jace Prejean. ”It will be the most comprehensive and useful management tool available in the industry and we are very fortunate to have a supporting partner such as Ricoh to enable us to provide this valuable asset to printers.”

Survey participants do not have to be NPOA members. PDF survey worksheets will be sent out to members and to thousands of non-member quick and small commercial printers across North America, assuring the broadest possible data base. The PDF worksheets and instructions can be downloaded at NPOA's website index page at www.printowners.org.

All responses will be completely confidential and seen only by the person compiling the survey. Any identifying information will be removed upon receipt and verification of data. Completed surveys must be received by March 31, 2014.

“The only thing printers will need to participate is a set of year-end financial statements (preliminary or final) for 2013,” according to NPOA Executive Director John Stewart. “The easy-to-complete PDF worksheet should take no more than 20-25 minutes to complete, and another 10-12 minutes to transfer the worksheet data into our online survey.”
