Multicopy Invests 250,000 Euro In Customer Software
Press release from the issuing company
November 24, 2003 -- MultiCopy, part of Franchise Services Inc. and sister of Sir Speedy, has implemented the newest dots Cockpit JTX software in all of their 70 branches. This state-of-the art software brings the MultiCopy branches "virtually" closer to office workers. It allows users to print to MultiCopy from within their desktop application, e.g. Microsoft Word, as if they print to their own printer. MultiCopy recently successfully tested dots Cockpit JTX and has rolled it out to all of their branches as a key component for its worldwide service bureau vision. The total investment for MultiCopy was 250.000 euro.
Gerard Slot, President of MultiCopy, says "dots Cockpit JTX gives compelling value add to our complete service product and is fully in line with our Business Document Services strategy. Our customers now have the ability to send any file from virtually any application to our central print units. Customers will no longer have problems with margin shifts, missing fonts or problems with their various print drivers. Responses are overwhelming." MultiCopy worked closely with consultants and authorized dots distributor, Service2Sales, throughout the test phase.
Henk Roosendaal, Marketing Director of MultiCopy remarks "This solution seamlessly fits the trend at corporate customers for downsizing their central reproduction facilities and their investment in multifunctional printing systems. With these systems users can scan, print, and fax from within or to their desktop. In order to produce the volumes which are inefficient or to costly to print at multifunctional systems, an even convenient solution was required. With Cockpit JTX we offer our corporate customers this solution."
The dots Cockpit JTX software solution lets you elegantly and intelligently connect workplaces with your central printing shop's efficient hardware. The built-in job ticket ensures easy, reliable and safe communication. dots Cockpit JTX gives independent Job Ticketing control from any application and platform (Window, Mac, Linux, Unix) to any PostScript output device. In addition, dots Cockpit JTX features comprehensive imposition, make-ready and job merging tools. The job merging feature in particular, is able to merge various document output formats and sizes into one document.
"dots Cockpit JTX integrates job ticketing, impositioning and make-ready into one solution, " said Clemens Grossmann, president of dots Software GmbH. "Despite all the necessary industry efforts to create document workflow standards, there is a significant need for hybrid solutions, where anything can be sent from anywhere and processed to any PostScript output device. Over 1200 customers worldwide found our software will address these problems. MultiCopy branches typically print to a variety of output devices and accept a variety of customer files and need the ability to make last minute changes. We are happy to see a visionary company like MultiCopy rely on the dots Cockpit family to tackle most of the problems in everyday printing life."
